Every city is cast fresh. The performers change, the stories change, and the evening is built around whoever is standing in that room. What stays the same is the shape of it: short-form, first-person, and told live to an audience that came to listen.

What is The Asian Monologues?

It is a live storytelling show. Each performer takes the stage for about ten minutes and tells one story from their own life. The program centers Their Story, Their Glory, and Their Struggle through artist-led vignettes.

Is it the same show every time?

No. Every city is cast fresh, so the performers and the stories change. What stays the same is the form: short, first-person, and told live.

Where has it been performed?

The first full production was on May 17, 2026 at Bainbridge Island Museum of Art, to a sold-out room. That production is archived on this site in full.

When is the next performance?

Seattle and San Francisco are both in development. Neither has confirmed dates yet. Join the tour list and you will hear as soon as anything is scheduled.

Can I perform in it?

Yes. Each new city needs a new cast, and performers do not need to be professional actors — the story is your own. The artist interest page is where that starts.
