The Asian Monologues™
The name identifies one show, produced by one team. This page sets out what that means in practice.
The Asian Monologues™ is a trademark of the Asian Arts & Heritage Festival. All storyteller accounts remain the property of the people who told them.
What the mark covers
The Asian Monologues™ is used as the name of a live storytelling show and the productions staged under it. The mark is claimed through use. The ™ symbol indicates a claimed trademark; it does not assert federal registration.
Using the name
- Press, reviews, and listings may use the name freely to refer to the show. No permission is needed to write about it, and we would rather you did.
- Productions using the name, format, or branding need an agreement with the festival team. That is what the booking route is for.
- Merchandise, domains, and social accounts using the name are not authorised without written permission.
What is not covered
The stories themselves are not ours. Every account performed in the show remains the property of the person who told it, and the archive publishes summaries rather than transcripts for that reason.
Photographs, portraits, and the printed program are the work of the Asian Arts & Heritage Festival and its contributors.
